School picture challenge

There is a challenge over at www.sweetpeachcropshop.com/blog to take better "school pictures" of your kids than the school does. It inspired me to take some pics of my kids even though they have never had school pictures done yet! We took a blanket out and hung it over the deck for a background. Cody only let me take 3 pics of him, but this one turned out really nice.

Sarah was still wearing her jammies, little miss personality.....

And one of my faves is not like a school pic at all, but a nice pic of the 2 of them together. Wyatt was taking a nap, but I am pretty sure that his almost 15 month old self would have had no part in any photo shoot!

Timber show

We took a trip up to the timber show last weekend. Cody was excited to see the "real" equipment that they use on swamp loggers. This skidder was actually a tigercat, just like Bobby uses!

He got to climb up in a lot of the machines.

And of course, the tires make for some nice pictures!

Wyatt had a nice ride around the grounds, and got to spend some quality time with Daddy!

5 years old! and a turkey

I can't believe Cody is 5 years old. He wanted a swamp logger birthday, so we had to make a cake with some logs and a skidder!

It took him 5 tries to blow out his candles.

And he got to wear a crown on his last day of school and take mini cupcakes for all of his classmates. He wasn't sorry about school being over, though.....

Mike filled his turkey tags again this year. This was the nicer of the 2 birds. Of course, we had to have a family portrait.

Mother's Day and mud

I just had to take this picture of Sarah. She was outside riding bikes with Cody and he sprayed her with mud. She was so upset!

For mother's day, we went to Delgrosso's. Mike was really nice and took some pictures of me!

The kids had a blast riding the dizzy dragons with Uncle Matt. They spun so fast! Cody was actually tall enough this year to ride almost everything, but Sarah is still stuck with the kiddie rides.

Uncle Matt

We went out to Uncle Matt's house at the end of April for Destiny's birthday party. He got his old race car out and took Cody for a spin. Literally.

Then of course he had to do the same for Sarah.....

And Wyatt.....

Just kidding, Wyatt only got to sit in the car. :)

But daddy had to try it out, too. He was like a little kid, tearing it up!

easter portraits

I just realized that I never shared these pics. They were not as awesome as the Christmas ones, but they were still pretty good. Especially since I had them taken right before I took Wyatt to his 9 month doctor's appt and found out that he had a double ear infection!

I had a couple taken of just Wyatt in the outfit he wore for his dedication. He looked like such a little man!

Criss cross, applesauce!

Wyatt always sits with his legs crossed. I think it is the funniest thing! He even crosses his legs in the high chair!

And while he is reading Goodnight Moon......

Easter

Cody's favorite gift from his Easter basket- a boat that he picked out.

Sarah's favorite- not surprisingly- candy.

Wyatt's favorite- socks?

We had our annual easter egg hunt and mom and dad's house. Nice hat, Uncle Matt. This is all of the kids lined up to take off!

Sarah loved finding eggs. Cody cried that he didn't get enough. It was a little overwhelming for him. And Wyatt was fascinated. We had lots of cracked eggs to use for deviled eggs!

Guess I put the pictures in the wrong order. Sarah was really good at dying her eggs this year! She wanted all the pretty colors. Cody, once again, was content to make every single egg "camo".

Outside!

Mike has been working on cutting up the logs at the bottom of the driveway. Cody is his little helper and sometimes Sarah decides that she wants to go along. When they finished with the first big pile, Mike asked to take the camera down so he could document how much wood they actually cut up. He got some really cute pics of the kids, too! I will definitely be scrappin' some of these!

Way to go, Daddy!

Wyatt LOVES it in his swing. No puking this year, he is apparently old enough and Sarah pushes him as high as he can go! I love his belly laugh, it is so cute!
Another ENORMOUS accomplishment at my house has been that Sarah (sometimes) and Cody (all the time) have learned how to swing on their own! Yay! It is really difficult to push 3 kids at the same time, so this has helped a lot!

We took a walk out through one of the trails last week, and Cody was climbing all the trees. I don't want to think about my future of ER visits and broken bones! Then the kids ran out to the field and picked me "flowers". It was cute how excited they were.

Of course, I had to display them for a day or two. A bouquet only a mother could appreciate!

My little girl

I can't believe how Sarah is turning into such a little girl. She actually sat the other day and let me braid her hair. It was the first time I tried, and she left it in! She actually was annoyed when Cody tried to put a hat on her, because she said it would mess up her hair. When we were getting ready to go to the pageant at church, she wanted to pick out her dress. She has been really wanting to pick her own clothes lately, and it isn't always a good thing :)
This day, she picked a dress that is a little bit too small, but she did look cute and then she asked me to take her picture. Little diva!
