We went to York last weekend to visit with Mike's family. We stayed in a hotel, which I was a little bit nervous about because I wasn't sure how the kids were going to sleep with us all in one room. They did fantastic, though, and they had fun exploring the room together.
They also enjoyed the pool. We spent an hour or so there each morning relaxing before going over to Nana's.
We went to my Aunt Jeanne's house the day after Christmas. Sarah was cruising all over the place, then all the sudden she let go and took 2 steps all by herself to get to my dad. Way to go Sarah!
I finally got a decent pic of the kids together on Christmas Eve. I made a special nightgown for Sarah to wear.
When Cody woke up on Christmas morning, he was very excited to see that Baby Jesus had indeed arrived in the manger of his nativity set.
Then he was even more amazed to come downstairs and look at all of the presents under the tree!
The cousins were so cute sitting together on the couch to open their stockings!
The kids got all dressed up for church the Sunday before Christmas. I tried to get pictures of them sitting together in front of the tree, but they were more interested in undecorating it! 
We went to get our Christmas tree last weekend. Cody didn't want to ride the horses this year, he wanted to ride the tractor. He had fun walking around the tree farm, and he tried to help daddy drag the tree out.
Cody wanted to decorate the tree himself. He also wanted to stand on the ladder for every ornament, so they are pretty much all concentrated around the middle. Oh well, he had a good time!
My bottom row of lights keeps ending up on the floor. Wonder how that is happening?!
Cody had a lollipop the other day and Sarah wanted it in the worst way. So, he decided to share with her. My first instinct was to tell him no, but it was so darn cute! What's a little germs between siblings?
Sarah is such a happy baby. She always has a big smile on her face (except when Cody is torturing...I mean hugging... her) She has been doing a lot of cruising lately. She even walked all the way down the hall at my parents house by holding on to the banister rails.
We put up our nativity set the other day. Cody was fascinated. We left Baby Jesus out and I told him that He will come on Christmas day. He is really looking forward to it!
I had some coupons that were going to expire, so I took Sarah in for some more pictures. I am really glad I did, because they turned out even better than her last ones. She had fun for the second half of the appointment, but even the pictures that she didn't smile for were good. Thanks Shelby for the adorable dress and skirt!!
We went for our family Christmas pics a couple weeks ago. As usual, Cody wasn't too interested in having his picture taken, and after they gave him a toy train, he wasnt too interested in having his sister anywhere near him for fear she might try to play too. We did end up with some nice shots, though, due to the great photographer and her lightning fast reflexes!
I was cleaning up after dinner the other night and Cody crawled up into Sarah's highchair. She crawled over and pushed him across the kitchen. She thought she was hilarious, giggling the whole time!
It has been really cold in the evenings, so Sarah finally got to try on some of her hats and mittens. I took this picture right before we all went for a 4-wheeler ride to check out the logging.
We spent some time outside last week when the weather was still a little bit warm. Cody loves playing in the leaves, scooping them up and carting them around. Sarah is just happy for anything that she can pull herself up against!
We went to David's birthday party on Saturday and Cody got these glasses in his goody bag. Unbeknownst to me, he took them along to church yesterday! He got a couple laughs wearing them- he looked so serious!
The upper photo is Sarah. She pulled herself up on the TV the other day while Cody was watching Old MacDonald. The lower photo is Cody at around the same age. I think they look a lot alike, but you can see that Cody was a good bit taller. Poor Sarah, she has to work harder to get up to all the same places.
Cody was eating apples the other day, and I sat his dish on the coffee table. Sarah wanted an apple so bad, she worked and worked until she got herself up to coffee table and got an apple out of the dish. Of course, she was very pleased with herself. We had to lower the crib mattress on Friday because she decided to stand up in the crib, and she has crawled across the living room a couple of times now. I think she has been more subtle about the crawling than Cody. He figured it out one day, then crawled nonstop from then on. Sarah, on the other hand, does it when she has to, but she would rather cry and be picked up or pulled up.
My mom watched my neices last weekend, so we all met up and went to the pumpkin patch. The 4 cousins love being together. Cody had a blast playing with Dana and Destiny on the hay pile. The corn maze...well, that was another story. It was WAY too long for little kids (and for some adults, too)
Sarah liked feeling the new textures.
The hayride was the highlight of the day for Cody. He just kept saying "Tractor" until we finally got on one.
So sweet!
Sarah tried to run with the big girls, but she still needs a little help from Grandma! I hope we all can get together again soon, they have so much fun together.
For weeks, Sarah has been getting up on her hands and knees and rocking and I keep thinking that she is going to take off crawling, but she hasn't. Her latest thing is getting up on her hands and toes. It looks like she is doing push ups! My mom says that I did this, then I never did crawl. I just started walking at 9 months. She is 7 months old today, so we will have to see!
I put her up at the ottoman with Cody yesterday. It is his favorite place to play with all of his little cars and 4 wheelers. She was really excited to be up there and see what was going on. He was, well...not as excited.
It was so beautiful yesterday, that we stopped at the park after church. Sarah actually got to participate this time! She loves riding in the swing, and Cody took her down the slide about 5 times. (I was waiting at the bottom to catch her) Cody has lots of new words these days. He kept saying "I have fun park!"
