Winter blahs

Sarah is turning into such a monkey. She might even be worse than Cody was. She loves climbing up on everything. Here she is standing on my scrapbooking paper. Hopefully she will still be interested in it when she is older!
We have been experimenting with hair clips and ponies lately. I bought Sarah some hair clips to wear with her birthday outfit, but I think that they will still be too big. This was Sarah's very first ponytail. Mike just laughed when he saw it.

Cody has been trying to help a lot in the kitchen. I try to think of things he can do to help with meals, and he gets so excited. Here, he is making jello! I can't believe how fast the time is going.

First Sleepover

My cousins little boy Jake came to stay over for 2 nights. Cody never had a sleepover and Jake never went to a sleepover, so we weren't sure how it was going to go, but they had a blast. Cody had a lot more fun taking a bath and getting ready for bed with Jake than he does with Sarah.
Despite my repeated admonishments not to jump on the air mattress, it was one of their favorite evening activities.

Mike got in on the action, showing them the proper way to shoot big game (me) across the living room.

Yesterday, we went to playday in town. Sarah has been pretending to talk on the phone a lot, and she really loved the little house because it had a phone in it.

Cody thoroughly enjoyed doing all the 2-person things with another kid his size. And, after a brief warming up period, Jake had a good time too!

They played out in the snow together for quite a while. This is the first time Cody got to use this swing! Cody took Jake for a hike through the woods to show him the hunting shack. When we got back to the house, Jake told him that swinging was more fun than hiking! I don't think Cody agreed.
