Chalk!

We were playing outside all evening, and I wanted to get out of the grass because the bugs were annoying, so I got out the sidewalk chalk. Cody had to line all of the peices of chalk up in a row before he could color with them. He is so funny.

The kids played together really well today. I hope this is a phase that lasts. Today was actually Cody's 3rd birthday, but we are celebrating tomorrow. The only present he got today was his new fireman's hat, which he hasn't taken off at all!

Wedding weekend

We went to my cousin Stephen's wedding this weekend. I don't have any pictures of the bride and groom (oops!) but Sarah sure looked cute in her little dress up clothes! Her favorite activity of the day, however, was pulling her barrette out of her hair and laughing. She really is a tomboy in girly girl clothes.

Turkey #2

Mike shot his 2nd turkey of the season this morning, and the kids went right for their hunting gear to get their pictures taken with daddy! Mike is tagged out now, so we have the rest of the week to relax and do family stuff before he has to go back to work.

Spring Gobbler!

Mike shot his first turkey of the season this morning, and although it was raining, we all went outside to get pictures taken with it! I dug out a pair of Cody's baby camo pants for Sarah. They were both very interested in checking out the turkey. Cody brought out his plastic knife to help daddy "skin" the turkey.

Sarah wasn't afraid to touch it. I think she is going to be a little huntress someday!

Cody dove right in to help daddy cut up the turkey. Sarah watched their every move. Maybe next year she can get in on the action too!
